Do you believe that parents should try to FORCE religion on their children?

FAITH is just that,belief. No one knows for sure if a religion is true or not,they only believe by Faith,because humans have no knowledge to prove anything about these areas. Saying this,should a child be forced to go to a place of worship/belong to a certain religion? I don't believe they should be. I believe this is a type of mind-controlling abuse. Isn't a persons religion (if they have one) a personal thing,and not hereditary behavior? You can have respect for someones practices,and not follow,why do these people think not? I have heard sad cases of punishment if someone does not go to a church with family. This is not the same thing as obeying your parents in other ways. The parents cannot possibly know for sure they are right. They are liars if they claim to know so.
