Ideal turbo 2 boiler pilot light does`nt work after gas was disconected?

You have air in the gas pipe that goes to the pilot. You have to keep the gas valve on depressed until the gas starts to come through. When any gas pipe is disconnected, the pipe fills with air. If you have a gas cooker, turn the hobs on as this will get rid of most of the air.
