Are humans greedy for seeking immortality and meaning of life at the same time?

to seek immortality and the meaning of life at the same time is not greedy. having both though is not really a good thing. If you are or become immortal that is to say you cannot die you would have different values than a mortal. Goals would become very long range. The meaning of life for you would also change to reflect your immortality. For example if you fell in love with someone they will die in a certain number of years while you live. If everyone becomes immortal then life becomes worse due to overcrowding, lack of resources to go around,etc. now just trying to live longer through better health care,exercise,etc is fine. you still die The meaning of life well i'm nearly 50 and i don't know that my meaning of life is the same as anyone elses on the planet.
