Is the bleating from the USA about Iran selling the Taliban weapons just a tiny bit hypocritical?

The USA would never do such a thing of course, and did not spend billions funding and training the same Afghan fighters against the Russians, nor did they sell Saddam Hussein $250bn or arms (plus some lovely anthrax & botulinum cultures) to use against Iran during the 1980s. Is the USA the most hypocritical nation on the planet?
