What are some good science-fiction books?

I need some good books to read. I generally enjoy reading science-fiction books. Some of my favorite books are the Inheritance Series by Christopher Paolini, the Shadow Children series by Margaret Peterson Haddix, and the Everest, Island, Kidnapped, and Dive series by Gordon Korman.
